First Lady Melania Trump’s spokesperson released a brief statement in defense of Donald Trump after her deplorable husband sent these tweets attacking MSNBC Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski:
Beyond the pale, right? Un-presidential, undignified in every way imaginable. The outage has been swift and as you’ll see below, a growing, bipartisan chorus of members of Congress and the Senate are publicly denouncing the president. That hasn’t stopped the spokesperson for Melania Trump and White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders from defending these deplorable statements.
In all fairness, if there is anyone in this world who knows Donald Trump’s vengeful heart, it is this woman:

As for the official White House response, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was even more vile as she took to Fox News (where else) to defend the indefensible:
The president of the United States, sitting in the bully pulpit and using it to attack female journalists, American corporations and newspapers is the one being bullied? On what planet? How’s the world outside of the Fox News bubble reacting? With disgust and horror. And that includes Republicans like Rep. Lynn Jenkins of Kansas:
Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE):
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC):
Senator John McCain (R-AZ):
Congress has the ability to censure a sitting president and they should exercise that option to publicly denounce him TODAY.
Here’s a slew of other responses, including this one from the head of NBC News:
